  • Hello and thanks for posting

I'm sorry to read about the difficult time you are going through. I appreciate it must be an anxious time when you are waiting for answers about your health, especially when it's unclear if your voice issues and thyroid nodules are connected.

I imagine it's frustrating not being able to get an appointment with your GP. Many people tell us this and we always advise to keep persisting . If you are still finding calling the GP surgery remains difficult then you may find going online to your GP surgery website to make an appointment that way. If you don’t have online access you can ring the practice manager at the surgery to see if they can help you further in getting an appointment.

You might want to contact the speech and language team to see if they have any advice. You could ask them if it's possible for you could go on a cancellation list to see if you could be seen sooner and they may contact you if a slot suddenly becomes available at short notice. But unfortunately this is not guaranteed.

I hope you find out more soon. Give us a ring if you want to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Best wishes,

    Celene
