I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in July had masectomy and am on Tamoxifen, no known Gene Lymph nodes clear, I was diagnosed 18 years with Haemochromatosis and Cirrhosis of Liver, how will this affect Liver and what is long term prognosis
I am sorry to hear about your recent treatment for breast cancer, this must have been a difficult time for you.
Having other long term health conditions can sometimes interfere with cancer treatment but how this may affect you and your future only your specialist doctor can say.
Do talk to them about possible side effects of the Tamoxifen to your liver and how this may play a part in your overall prognosis, if at all.
It sounds like the mastectomy was successful and the cancer hadn't spread so the Tamoxifen has been given as a preventative treatment which is all very positive.
