Everyone is different after the insertion of an oesophageal stent, but the team looking after you will be used to having patients with these so will also be able to support you.
It may be that you need to eat at a slower pace and eat more soft foods, but these things can also improve with time.
Unfortunately, it can be difficult to be able to give an exact idea of how anyone is after a procedure like this. The priority is to improve swallowing by opening the oesophagus so food can pass more easily.
