Brain tumor anxiety

I’ve been feeling werid for 6 days, I can’t explain it I just don’t feel normal. I feel wobbly confused and have had a tension headache constantly. My body and head tingles and it just feels like I’m being thrown around when I’m stationary. I’m worried I might have a brain tumor, I do have quite bad health anxiety so as soon as I don’t feel normal I jump to conclusions. I have just been ill (flu or Covid maybe) but I got better and then this started and I haven’t been able to calm down at all since this started. It started at work I felt really dizzy and I threw up and I kept getting sparks in my vision so I got sent home. I have a gp appointment tommrow but I’m worried they will just dismiss this and I’m worried it’s something more serious

  • Hi there and thanks for the post

I am sorry to hear about the symptoms you are having and appreciate how worrying they can be. It is therefore good to hear you are seeing your GP about this.

There could be many reasons for the way you are feeling. Whilst sometimes it is important to rule out something more serious the symptoms you describe can also be linked to things such as migraines.

Tell your doctor everything you have experienced over the past couple of weeks so they can assess you properly and arrange any tests moving forward.

Try for now not to over think this until you know more. Most symptoms somewhere along the line can be linked to cancer but for most people the cause will be something far less serious.

I hope your doctor can offer you some further reassurance soon.

    Take care

    Naomi
