My ultrasound showed a middle large multiloculated cystic structure. This was after a raised CA125 blood test. I have pain in my lower abdomen.
What does all this mean exactly. Is it ovarian or Whole prlvic area or ?

Hello and thanks for posting
As nurses we do not interpret medical reports as this is not our area of expertise. Your specialist team are the best people to interpret your results and recommend treatment ( if necessary) as they are familiar with all your medical information.
But from looking online the term multiloculated cystic structure refers to a cyst that has multiple compartments filled with fluid that can form in or on the ovaries.
Most multiloculated cysts are benign (not cancer) but they may need further investigations. The doctor may order an MRI scan to have a look at the cysts in more detail, but this isn't always necessary. The next step is to wait and see what your doctor advises and if anything needs to happen next.
I hope you know more soon. Give us a ring if you would like to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
