Hi I have had 4 doses of aldara due my 5th tonight… this afternoon / this evening my leg which I am using it on feels very achey / painful is this normal? I have taken paracetamol and it hasn’t done anything
I am sorry to hear that you are feeling achy whilst taking Aldara (Imiquimod). It is not listed as a specific side effect but when looking on theeMC European Medicine Compendium it does say that in a few cases patients complain of achy limbs and flu like symptoms.
I would get in touch with the doctor who prescribed the medicine to see what you should do. If the symptoms are quite bad they may want to delay the treatment for a few days. If you are unable to speak to your doctor you could have a face to face conversation with the pharmacist at your local chemist to get their opinion.
