Raised CA125 & CT Scan

I had Ca125 test first was 66 and second one dropped to 41, my GP referred me for a ct scan 1st October a few days after losing my beautiful mum. I called GP surgery after 3 weeks and they had not received results so I then called radiology who said my results hadn't been allocated at that time. Last Thursday I received a telephone appointment for 19th November with Colorectal Consultant ?? I have called GP again this afternoon and they haven't received ct scan results and have not referred me to see colorectal surgeon. I am really confused and any advise would be appreciated kind regards Claire

  • Hello Claire and thank you for posting.

Firstly I am sorry to learn that your mum recently died and I send my condolences at what must be a difficult time.

I don't know if you received a letter with the appointment, if so, if there is a consultant's name on the letter you could contact the consultant's secretary and see if they can clarify things for you. Or if there might be a telephone number on the letter for central booking that might help.

I hope this is useful. Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

Take care Claire, I hope you get some answers soon,

    Jemma
