  • Hi there and thanks for posting

I am sorry to hear you had treatment for breast cancer in the past and are now experiencing menopausal symptoms.

It can be difficult to find ways to manage these types of symptoms at the best of times let alone if you have had a hormone driven type cancer. We usually suggest speaking with your own GP ( a female doctor may be easier to talk to about these things) so they can assess your main symptoms to come up with some solutions. Or may suggest a menopausal clinic if appropriate.

We have a section of information about coping with sex hormone symptoms in females that may be useful to read, including some tips and recommendations on things that may help.

You may also wish to post on a different thread in case other women who have been through similar can share their thoughts with you.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Best wishes

    Naomi
