2 hard Lumps that appeared on my sack

I found a small hard lump above my testicle not attached to it and another smaller one at the bottom of my sack  , I’ve not had any of these in the past and just felt them when in the shower they are a little bit painful when touched hardly

  • Hello StoicSparrow and thanks for your post,

Our advice to anyone with a new lump or lumps  is always to see their GP and get it checked out to be on the safe side.

Lumps don't have to have anything to do with cancer, most aren't, however a few might, so it is always best to be sure - but there is no need to panic. There are several things that can cause a testicular lump and although cysts are more common on the top of the testicle, they can occur in other parts of it too.

Only a doctor can diagnose things like this properly so please do get yourself checked out as this is the best way to get some peace of mind and be certain. Also sometimes there can be the possibility of an infection that may need to be treated with antibiotics that only a doctor can prescribe.

You may find it helpful to read the NHS information on testicle lumps and swellings

I hope this helps.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Best wishes,

    Catherine
