I am sorry to learn of your situation. I can imagine this is a worrying time for you.

Both ovarian cysts and ovarian cancer can be detected through ultrasound scans. Most ovarian cysts are benign (not cancerous), but it is essential to have them checked out to ensure they are not harmful.

An MRI scan of the ovaries gives your doctor more detail about the cyst, including its precise location, size, shape, structure, composition, and its relationship to surrounding tissues.

While having a normal CA-125 level is reassuring, it does not completely rule out the possibility of cancer until the MRI scan is completed. Until you have more information, it is natural to feel concerned.
