2cn Ct scan results

Good morning all, I'm just woundereing if anyone has had the same sort of situation as me,

January this year I had a ct scan done on my ear/head/neck area, the consultant I was under at the time had seen my results and had discharged me from his care into an ( urgency) but hadn't told me, they did however upload my results to my nhs app, a suspected soft tissue lesion within the left EAC was seen, as well as bone erosion in the left submandibular space of the glenoid fossa and other parts, I was then seen to have my ear cleaned out as there was a stone light wax stuck in there, she didn't confirm anything to me that day, a few weeks later her notes were added to my nhs app stating that she could see bone erosion and wanted to see me again, I went back she had left some damage in the ear after cleaning it so put some stuff in there to help heal, and sent me for a second ct scan on the 29th august, my consultant read my results on 30th September the next day she sent me an appointment to go and see her but due to heavy rain I couldn't get there so they did rearrange for the end of this month, I've rang up and explained my situation as the pain is constant everyday every night, and just to see if they would upload these results to my nhs app, but sadly this time I'm being told they can't and I must wait until I see my consultant, they also scanned my left jaw as I've had a lump there for 8 years that I can not touch at all not even with clothes if I do my face swells up incredibly, I'm just hoping that maybe someone else has been through this ? ( having to wait to speak to there consultant) kindest regards.

  • Hi there Carole32 and thanks for the post

I am sorry to hear about the situation you find yourself and the symptoms you have. I can appreciate what a worrying and difficult time this must be for you.

Whilst people may have gone something similar to you it is difficult to compare stories. The only way you are going to find out more about yours is from the consultant involved in your care, so do hang in there for now. It may be worth calling the consultants secretary to find out if a time can be arranged to speak with the consultant sooner.

I really hope you know more soon and that every turns out okay for you.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Best wishes

    Naomi
