  • Hello and thanks for posting

VIN ( Vulval Intraepithelial ) is a skin condition affecting the vulva. It is not cancer, but can in some cases increase the risk of cancer developing. But the majority of women with VIN will not go on to develop cancer.

It can be difficult to know who to talk to about living with a vulval condition. But for many people, talking about it is an important way of coping. You may find it helpful to talk to family or friends. Or you may prefer help from someone you are not close to, such as a counsellor. There is no right or wrong way to cope, but help is available if you need it.

The British Society for the Study of Vulval Disease has patient information and useful links to information about living with vulval conditions.

I hope this is of some use. Give us a ring if you would like to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards,

    Celene
