Hi Nannypen
It might be a good idea to talk to your oncologist or cancer care/ chemotherapy team and tell them how your feeling.
I know when I had chemotherapy for breast cancer I too did experience a sore throat and sore mouth ,ulcers. But I was given a mouth wash when I started my chemotherapy, as with the kinda chemotherapy I was having it was a side effect that could occur so was given it just in case. Not everyone gets the same side effects, what one person gets it doesn't mean that you will, and vice versa. But as I said it would probably be good to seek out advice. I do hope this sore throat subsides and you get some help and advice once you've spoken about it. Good luck .
Thanks for your help. I hadn’t thought about my sore mouth going down to my throat just about my Grandson who has a cold!
I will take your advice and see how it goes before ringing as it doesn’t seem so bad this morning. Hope you are going on well.
I'm OK thank you. Glad I could help.
Hello Veronica, and thank you for posting.
If you are having treatment, and you are starting to feel unwell, it is best to contact your treatment centre or specialist nurse (CNS) and let them know.
It may be they give you some instructions but do monitor your temperature and take over-the-counter medication, like paracetamol, to keep yourself comfortable.
Take care Veronica and I hope you are feeling better soon.
