  • Hello and thanks for posting

I'm sorry you are going through such a stressful time and can appreciate it must feel overwhelming not knowing what to expect.

After radiotherapy, it is normal to have follow up appointments and next weeks phone call with your oncologist will likely be to discuss how you are doing following treatment.

It's possible that your oncologist may suggest other treatments or just keep monitoring your progress closely. Sometimes, they will order scans over time to check how well the radiotherapy has worked and decide if further treatment is needed.

If you haven't been able to contact your specialist nurse before you speak to the oncologist, the oncologist will guide you through what's ahead and they can help answer any questions you have about your treatment and any symptoms you may be experiencing.

I hope this reply has been of some help. Give us a ring if you would like to talk things over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards,

    Celene
