Hello pearle7777 - In a way it is good that you are having the biopsy sooner, and this may be because of a cancellation, or a biopsy slot being available when your consultant asked an admin person to book you in. I had to wait about 3 weeks for mine last year which was done by a registrar, who was doing about six that day, Hopefully they will give you information on what it involves….It is worrying (I was) and you have to wait a few days afterwards to get your results..I hope it goes okay for you.

I am sorry to learn that you are waiting to have a biopsy, I can imagine this is a worrying time for you.

The biopsy will confirm whether or not you have prostate cancer. Although the consultant had said it could be 4 weeks it will depend on the availability of appointments and for example whether there are any cancellations.

Try not to overthink things, but having an appointment earlier does not mean that your situation is more serious.
