  • Hi Diane, and thank you for posting.

I am so sorry about the changes in your face and that they are leaving you so very low. It must be incredibly hard for you.

I am worried that you have said you can not live with this for much longer. Do you have a specialist nurse you can contact for support? Or friends and/or family that you can talk this all through with?

If you are feeling suicidal Diane I would like you to contact someone. Samaritans are always there on 116 123 if you are struggling to get hold of anyone.

It is hard for us to say what may happen with the nerves in your face, and how they are affected. But I think it is important that people know how it is making you feel. Please do talk to someone in your team, your specialist nurse, or maybe the nurses you see in the chemotherapy unit.

Take care Diane, and I hope you get the support you need. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9 am till 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

    Sarah.
