We don't know what causessalivary glandcancer but some factors can increase a person'srisk.
I am sorry to hear it has taken 3 months to get your diagnosis. Sometimes getting a diagnosis is not always straightforward perhaps because the cancer itself is rare, or because some features don’t fit the usual pattern that is expected to be seen in certain cancer types. It is important that the doctors can get an accurate diagnosis so that the right treatment can be planned.
