I am sorry to learn of your situation, this must be a difficult and worrying time for you.

Waiting for test results and starting treatment can be a stressful time. It can be a time when you may feel you are not in control and the uncertainty is difficult to come to terms with.

Having a newly diagnosed cancer means your report will be done urgently so treatment can be started as soon as possible. It is a specialist radiographer who does the reporting before the doctor sees it. Whilst waiting 1-2 weeks can seem like a long time, the doctors must have all the correct information about the cancer so they know exactly the best way to treat it.
