  • Hello and thanks for posting

I'm sorry to read about what's been happening.

A thickening of the bladder wall can be caused by several things, and while cancer may be one possibility, it's not the only reason. Inflammation, infection or even changes such as scar tissue from the surgery can also cause bladder thickening.

The next step is to have the cystoscopy as this test will allow your doctor to have a closer look and find out exactly what's going on. This is a common procedure to do to get a clear diagnosis.

I know waiting to find out more is stressful but hopefully you will know more soon. Give us a ring if you would like to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind Regards,
