I am sorry to hear about your flu like symptoms. The doctors may be reluctant to give your vaccination with your symptoms at the moment but do discuss this with them.
They may want to check your blood count before you have your vaccination.
We do have some information on vaccination and cancer treatment where our message is to check with your oncology team as to when to fit in the vaccination if you have already started treatment.
if you are feeling unwell with your flu like symptoms it may be a good idea to contact your team any way. Your hospital probably has a chemo helpline that you can ring if you feel unwell.
