I am sorry to learn of your situation at the moment.

I'm sorry, but without being part of your hospital team, it's difficult for me to know if you will need tamoxifen. The best people to answer this question are your hospital team, as they are familiar with all your medical details.

Tamoxifen is an anti-oestrogen medication. It is a hormone therapy prescribed to women who are typically oestrogen receptor positive (ER+).It works by blocking the oestrogen receptors. It stops oestrogen from telling the cancer cells to grow. Additionally, it is used to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence anywhere in your body.

Once your doctor has all the results; including the genetic testing, your case will be discussed at an MDT meeting where all the different doctors involved in your care discuss your case and work out the most effective  treatment plan.
