Hello Shadow3586 and thanks for your post,
I am sorry to hear about your situation.
If you have been diagnosed at your GP practice then the next step will be a referral to a gynaecologist where more tests and scans and a biopsy will be arranged so the doctors can try and get as much information as they can.
Your case will then be discussed in a large meeting called an MDT
At this meeting, all the doctors involved in your care will discuss your cancer and any treatment options. They will also take into account your general health. Decisions about how to treat endometrial cancer are based on national guidelines but of course, you can discuss any decisions that are decided with your doctors.
We have some general information about treatment decisions.
I can understand that waiting for tests can be very unsettling but try if you can to take one step at a time. I do hope that you know more soon.
If you would like to ring and go through any of this with one of the helpline nurses then you are welcome to do so. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
All the best,
Catherine
