Hello Raijeanes and thanks for your post,
I am sorry to hear that your husband is to have yet more treatment. I can understand how tough going through a stem cell transplant for you both must have been.
I am not sure what type of cancer your husband has had but do talk this through with your husband's specialist nurse or his doctor so they can explain more about why this may be needed.
The doctors and nurses were probably waiting to see how your husband was before they broached the subject of additional treatment with you both. I can understand how hard this must be when your husband has had so much already.
I do hope that you are both getting plenty of support. You may be interested in looking at the information written by Anthony Nolan on recovering after a stem cell transplant
You are very welcome to ring and chat any of this through with one of the helpline nurses. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
All the best,
Catherine
