Can I refuse a hysteroscopy if I have a stage three prolapse?

I’m having my gynae appointment this Sunday.

i was fast tracked 6 weeks ago. But they are backlogged with referrals 

have a thick lining of the womb and a two cm cervical polyp.

since this started I have had a prolapse. My uterus is bulging outside of me, and also my polyp has prolapsed. The polyp bleeds a lot. 

im scared of having a hysteroscopy as I’m already in a lot of pain as it feels like my stomach is ripping. My bladder dropping has caused issues with needing the loo a lot, I bleed when I go to the loo 

I feel like this might be too much for me to undergo this procedure. I’ve been asked to have ibuprofen before the appointment. I am totally scared anyway.

    I'm sorry to read about what's been happening. It sounds like you are going through a lot at the moment.

    It's understandable to feel scared about having a hysteroscopy given the pain you are already in.

    You have the right to refuse a hysteroscopy as the doctors can't carry any procedure out without your consent. However, it's important to remember why your doctor is recommending it. It allows them to look inside your womb and get a better look at what is going on, especially with the thickened womb lining and the bleeding from the cervical polyp. This can help to decide on the best treatment for you.

    You can discuss your health issues and the concerns you have with the gynaecologist on Sunday. Tell them about the pain you are experiencing and the fear you have about the procedure. Hopefully, they will be able to advise you further.

    Thank you. I ended up having the hysteroscopy today. And had the polyp removed. 
    i have found out that my womb has prolapsed too. 
    very very overwhelming experience.

I am glad to hear that your polyp was removed at the same time. I am sorry to hear about your prolapse, but hopefully this can be sorted for you, now that it has been highlighted.
