When will I get my MRI Results? Recently diagnosed with stage 2b melanoma on underside of heel

Hi I have been diagnosed with stage 2b Melanoma on the underside of my heel. I had the lesion for about a year before diagnosis. I have had a biopsy giving that result and had an MRI scan of head and neck 10 days ago. I will be having a CT scan of Thorax, abdomen and pelvis in 2 days time. I have had a consultation with the plastic surgeon with regards surgery and hospital stay tba. It will be grafted and sentinel lymph nodes tested nearest site of lesion. What I am unsure of is when I am likely to get the result of the MRI etc or will they wait until all done before informing me. Sorry to ask on here but I suffer with social anxiety and find it difficult to use phones or remember everything to ask at the time of appointments. Many thanks.

    I am sorry you have these concerns that are causing you more anxiety. Unfortunately, I do not know when you will get your MRI results as we are not part of your care team. However what I can say is I would expect them to let you know when they have them, as sometimes the results of scans can change treatment plans. 

    Waiting for results and treatment can be difficult and full of uncertainty. But you will be updated. Maybe if you speak to your specialist nurse (CNS) or someone from the hospital you could check in with them when you are likely to get the CT and MRI results back.
