I am sorry to hear you have health anxiety and imagine having tummy pain isn't helping this at the moment.

Please remember there are many reasons for stomach pain and most won't be linked to cancer. If this pain is ongoing you need to go back and talk to your GP about it. They can reassess your symptoms again and arrange further tests if needed.

There are strict guidelines about when someone should be referred for suspected upper gastro intestinal cancer ( including an endoscopy) that can be seen on the NICE website. As you can see there are several red flag symptoms highlighted in addition to stomach pain and age is also a factor.

It is important you speak to your doctor about what you most concerned about and your health anxiety as well, so they can help manage this with you.

They may be able to put your mind at ease or they can run some tests to rule other possible causes out.

The NHS website has information about the more common causes for stomach pain such as indigestion, trapped wind and constipation. It may be helpful to make sure you are eating a healthy balanced diet, taking plenty of exercise and getting a good amount of sleep as this can all help. Perhaps you could keep a diary of when you are experiencing the pain to see if there is anything specific triggering this.
