Cervical cancer

Hi I’m a 37 year old mother of 5 iv recently had a hysterectomy in July total one but leaving my overies  behind due to hight grade cgin and hpv I’d had several lletz and they kept just coming back so I had the hysterectomy 2 weeks after having it done iv now been diagnosed with cervical cancer although they are almost certain they removed it all I’m having to habe my pelvic lymph nodes and overies removed iv not quite taken anything in ans any appointments iv had have  been a blurr to me really as iv been attending alone and it’s been so much to take in can you Please tell me if after the lymph node removal and there is anything in them what will the nevt stages be thanks 

  • Hello Caz and thank you for posting. I am sorry you are going through all this and understandable that you have struggled to take everything in as it is always overwhelming to receive this type of news.

    What happens next depends on whether cancer cells are found in your lymph nodes. If there is spread to the lymph nodes the doctors may class you as stage 3. If no cancer cells are found, you will be treated as stage 2.
