Aggressive prostrate cancer grade 4 at diagnosis

My husband decided against treatment six years ago

Glesson 9, stage 4 terminal prostrate cancer

At time was told survival rate with /without treatment was 5-10years

It's been six years now no treatment

At initial scan prostrate couldn't be removed as spores out of prostrate and in seminal vesicles

Now my husband in the last month has drop a clothes size always tired and even skips out of family outings

He said he feels unwell just feels different

He has pain in his lower abdomen and right side

His last PSA was 68

Does this sound like cancer has spread I'm so worried, he won't even take pain relief

  • Hello and thanks for posting,

    I can appreciate your concern.

His symptoms could be due to various medical conditions. He does need to be assessed by his GP, they can advise and may be suggest some blood tests or scans. Try to encourage him to go, as there may well be treatments that will help his current symptoms, whatever the cause is.

I hope you find a way forward with this soon,
