How long after chemo for lymphoma, can I expect to feel like my former self? I have just finished six three week cycles for hi-grade lymphoma, and I’m told I am in remission.

Hello and thank you for your post.
I am sorry to hear that you have been through treatment for a high-grade lymphoma.
How long it will take for you to recover from the treatment you had will vary from person to person. However, I would think that you will start to feel better a few weeks after it has finished. This might be 3 or 4 weeks. But how quickly you will feel much as you did before the treatment started might take a few months.
It might be good and help build up energy levels if you can eat well and do some exercise daily. This could start with a gentle walk, nothing too strenuous.
You might also benefit from getting some support. Your specialist nurse can tell you what is available in your area. We have information about where to get support on our website.
You may also find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Take care,
Caroline
