You could seek advice from your local pharmacist. They may suggest trying some topical cream to see if it settles down.

If you are concerned, you can make a GP appointment anyway, and cancel it, should things improve on their own. Most skin issues are not serious, but it is sensible to get things checked out for peace of mind.
