Mark on face

Hi I have just recently noticed a mark on my face. Near to existing age spots that have been there for years.

Not sure if it needs looking at or if it's just a new age spot. Should I ask a pharmacist before going to s doctor. It feels sore but no bleeding or weeping just a slightly raised sore mark. Not sure what to do.

    I’m sorry you are worried about a lesion on your skin and can understand you wanting to find out more.  

    If you notice any new or concerning skin lesions, it's important to have them evaluated by your doctor. While many may be harmless, only a doctor is qualified to make a medical assessment. They are trained to assess symptoms and can arrange for tests if necessary to determine what might be going on.

    You should always wear an adequate sunscreen for your face to protect it from sun damage. You may like to read our webpage on sun safety.

    I have made an appointment with my doctor, hoping it's nothing but better to find out sooner thank later. Thank you for your time and reply.
