I am sorry to learn that you have emphysema which has been described as being bad and now you are having more tests for possible lung cancer. This must be worrying for you and your family.

Waiting for tests and test results can be a difficult and stressful time particularly when you are having a lot of symptoms. Many people can feel particularly anxious at this time and feel they have no control over what is happening to them. There is no right or wrong way to deal with this situation. Some people manage by carrying on with their everyday activities, other people may feel they cannot concentrate. 

Unfortunately, until the doctors have all the information from all the tests there is a lot of uncertainty.
