I am really worried

I've been told the lining of my womb has slightly moved and changes, they initially thought it could be endometriosis but are now concerned

my bloods have all come back normal however in the past 24 hours I have developed a high fever of 38.2 and palpitations + tachycardia

I have lost weight recently not intentionally and my body has been prone to lots of infections as if my immune system isn't working

I'm really worried especially that they will tell me I'm fine when something bad could be happening, I'm only 20

  • Hi Z-k and thanks for posting,

I am sorry to learn that you are having symptoms that are causing concern.

I am not clear on your exact situation. You mentioned that it was thought it was endometriosis and now they are concerned, I was unsure what this meant and whether or not the doctors have mentioned what else they believe you may have.

If there is a concern that your symptoms are being caused by cancer the doctors will make sure all the tests that are needed are done. It is important to know that it is very uncommon to have cancer in your age group, and symptoms are more likely to be caused by noncancerous conditions.

It is good news that your blood tests have come back as normal. However, the best person to discuss your concerns with would be your doctor as they know your situation, and what tests you have had done . It is worth telling them what it is you are worried about, and they will be able to explain their concerns and hopefully reassure you.

I hope you know more about your situation soon. Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Take care, all the best

    Jemma
