I’ve had a mole on my leg for some years and hadn’t noticed it had changed. It became red and itchy and I just kept putting sudochrem on it. I then went to the pharmacist at the beginning of June who gave me medication for ringworm. It hadn’t gone after a week so I went to the doctors who treated me the same to start with. I was then given an urgent referral on 27th June and on 10th July I had my first appointment at the hospital. The doctor didn’t like the look of the mole and I had an excision biopsy on 31st July. At the biopsy the doctor said she would be surprised if I didn’t have cancer. I’m so worried and the results won’t be back for at least 2 weeks. I know there’s no symptoms with melanoma but before this I’ve felt so well I eat healthily and exercise 7 days a week but I’m so worried I’ve got it and it’s spread I can’t sleep. I just don’t know what to do.
