Advice - finishing ovarian cancer treatment today. How long will it be until it's fully out of my system?

Hi I have been having treatment for Ovarian cancer  operation chemotherapy then olaparib which I am finishing today , I am a bit nervous about the outcome, but to be honest I have coped really well . Can you advise me how long before It will be out of my system ? I still feel very tired in the afternoons and my appetite is not great but I feel that the treatment I have received has been brilliant .

    It is great to hear that you have coped well with all your treatment. This must have been a difficult time.

    You will likely feel the side effects of olaparib for a while whilst the drug is still in your system. I cannot say how long the effects will last exactly and I have found it difficult to find this information. I have contacted Astra Zeneca who makes Olaparib for more guidance on this but unfortunately, they have not yet replied.

    In the meantime, as they know your situation better, it might be worth contacting your specialist nurse (CNS) for advice.
