I can appreciate your concern for your sister. There are various explanations for this, such as body fluid loss as a side effect from medications. Sometimes not eating well after treatment can cause weight loss. She does need to let her hospital chemotherapy team know about this. The doctor may want to check her thyroid, and blood sugars, and general kidney function. Your sister can also seek medical advice from her GP or NHS 111 too, if needed.
