  • Hi Wideal and thank you for your post.

I am sorry to read that you are still experiencing pain. I can understand you wanting to know more.

The pain that you have been experiencing is likely due to nerves affected during surgery.

For many this will settle in time for others this can persist.

It is important to speak with your doctor so they know this is ongoing for you and let them know how it affects your everyday life. They may be able to prescribe different types of painkillers to try and help control this nerve pain, although sometimes it can take time to find the best ones for you. The doctor may also suggest other management strategies to cope with this.

I hope you find this helpful.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9 am till 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
