Hi. I’ve had a repeat cat scan 6 weeks after my last chemo. Just wondering how will I get results? Will it be an appointment to go in and see the consultant even if it’s good or bad news? Or will he phone me and tell me over the phone? Thanks
Hi, we are in a similar position but in my husband's case, the phone appointment was set up at the time of the scan. we're hoping a phone consultation means they are not expecting bad news, but maybe it's wishful thinking! Have you contacted t he specialist nurses to ask?
Individual hospitals can vary in the way their patients receive their results. They can be given them face to face, ( even when it is good news) by letter, or telephone.
