I appreciate starting a new medication like niraparib following chemotherapy can feel overwhelming especially when you read about the possible side effects.

But people vary in the side effects they may experience. Some people may experience one or two side effects while others may experience more. It's hard to predict how you will be affected. It's often a question of seeing how things go and taking things one step at a time.

There are some very good medications to help manage side effects if they occur. Do let your hospital team know though if you are experiencing any. They can assess you and hopefully suggest what medications might help you.
