I am sorry to hear you are about to have some treatment but haven't said which type. I am guessing it may be radiotherapy as you mention about tattoos, do accept my apology if I have got the wrong end of the stick.
If you are indeed having radiotherapy planning where they pop some ink tattoos in place to locate where the treatment needs to be given, depending on the location of radiotherapy they might request you fast for a couple of hours before your appointment or for you to have a full bladder. The department should let you know if this is required. Do give them a call if you are unsure.
