  • Hello and thanks for posting

Some people with certain medical conditions ( including kidney disease) do need to be careful about taking NSAIDs. There is more information about this on the NHS website.

I'm afraid we can't say if it is safe for you to take NSAIDs. This is something you need to discuss with your specialist team. If you have a specialist nurse (CNS) involved in your care then perhaps they can provide you with further information. You often have to call and leave them a message and they will get back to you.

If you would like further clarification on this medication, then you can contact a local pharmacist or you can phone the hospital pharmacy, who should be able to advise you further.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards,

    Celene
