Swollen lymph node

Hello, I had a total thyriodectomy 12 years ago and did the clinical trial which meant no treatment after removal.

For a year or so, while eating, I seem to choke when eating something with a strong flavor.

The last few nights I have been waking up coughing the same cough which is coming from my left side which comes on when eating. So while laying wide awake I had a feel around my neck.

And discovered that I had a lump which feels weird when I push on it, and is twice the size as the one on the other side. So now I am getting really worried  

I just googled...... I tried not to! But it's where my lymph gland is.

    Try not to diagnose yourself by Google. You are far better at making an appointment with your GP and getting them to refer you back to the oncology team if they feel that is what they should do.

    Try not to overthink it for now. Raised lymph nodes are common particularly after an infection but it is sensible to get it checked out.
