I have cycts on my kidneys if one bursts can it show up in fit test

  • Hi Teddy 12, and thank you for your post,

A FIT (faecal immunochemical test) is done to look for hidden blood in poo and this is the only purpose, it will not show blood from other parts of the body such as the kidneys.

I was unsure of your situation whether you have done a FIT that shows blood in the poo. If a FIT is positive for blood, then a person will be referred to the hospital to have tests done to look at the bowel to make sure there isn't anything serious like cancer that has caused the blood. However, knowing there can be several reasons for a positive FIT test other than cancer is important.
