Weight gain.

Hello. I have been taking anastrozole for 1 year now and have noticed my weight has increased which I am now trying to get down. I am fairly active doing voluntary work 2 mornings a week and out and about rest of the week. My diet is good. Mainly salad. Veg fruit. Meat. Only 2 pieces of bread a day., but I can't seem to shift it. Would it be compatible with anastrozole to take Adios for a short time to try and boost weight loss.  Thank you for being there for us all. Jan

    Some weight gain whilst taking Anastrozoles isn't unusual and it sounds like you are doing what you can to control this.

    Unfortunately we can't advise any patient here about vitamins or diet supplements so suggest you ask your breast unit or GP if it is okay for you to take adios.

    You may also find it useful to look at Maggie centre's weight changes and cancer section with some tips and advice to help to get to and maintain a healthy weight.
