Just had a biopsy for bcc and waiting for results. I go away on Holiday in a few days should I cover the mark with a plaster? Any recommendations for a high sun teen protection
If your scar hasn't fully healed a plaster will not be the best thing to put on it. You can put a non adhesive dry dressing on the area that will be easy to remove. This will protect the scar.
We don't recommend particular sunscreen brands, but suggest that people use at least an SPF of 30 with a high 4/5 star UVA rating. Some people prefer to use SPF 50 which is nearer to a total sun block as properly applied it can block 96 to 98% of UVA rays.
