Generally it is advisable to buy a bigger supportive sports type bra (not underwired) with few seams, as breast tissue can feel sore for a period after treatment.

You can also find details of bra suppliers  on the Breast Cancer Now website.

You may like to speak with the hospital breast care nurse as they can advise you further.

I could never wear an underwired bra after my radiotherapy and lumpectomy. Marks and Spencer do some really good Flexifit bras with a zip front, they are really comfortable and give good support. Have now had mastectomy on the other side after 5 years and reconstruction so wearing the same bras again

Yes much more free now I don’t have the drain in and the bag to carry around  Havea good weekend
