I am sorry to hear about your husbands past treatment for larnygeal cancer.

Understandably this is an anxious time for you both whilst the doctors look into what this 'area of concern' picked up on a scan is investigated.

I'm afraid no one here or anywhere else can say at this point in time what might be going on. However the possibility of the cancer returning needs to be ruled out, just to be on the safe side.

I really hope you know more soon and everything works out okay.
