Good Afternoon
My brother was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer 10 weeks ago. He was one of the fortunate ones and was offered The Whipple Procedure. Which he had 3 weeks ago, and left hospital 9 days later. He had his follow up appointment today with his consultant who has discharged him from the Surgical Team he was under as they are so pleased with his recovery progress. He was told today that out of the 27 lymph nodes they removed that 2 near the tumour had cancer in them but everything else was clear, and he will now need to have 3 to 6 months of chemo..so fingers crossed that chemo goes well…had anyone else had this treatment, if so how did it go…..I’m worried about my brothers mental health as he says he can’t look in the mirror as he’s lost so much weight and his scar makes him feel sick. Thank you for taking time to read this
