  • Hi sorry you're having a bad time of it

i was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma January 2023. I had surgery then chemo for 4 days every 2 weeks, after 11 courses i could not make it up or downstairs so understand you're feelings. My treatment finished in January and i still struggle with walking and tiredness although it is getting better to manage

i felt as if i was the only person who felt that way

  • Hello and thank you for your post,

I am sorry to hear you are going through breast cancer treatment. I can appreciate this must be a difficult time for you.

It is difficult for us to know what is causing your symptoms but I wonder if you are taking hormonal treatment.  Which is used if the breast cancer is oestrogen receptor positive. I say this because some types can cause muscle and bone pain.

You might want to discuss your symptoms with your breast care nurse and possibly ask if any of your treatments could be causing them. If it is thought that it could be you could also ask if changing to another type of treatment could help.

Also, do talk with your GP about the pain you have and what could help it.

I hope this has helped.  Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Take care,

    Caroline
