Hello and thank you for your post,
I am sorry to hear that you needed to have surgery for breast cancer.
The report that is done after surgery should contain details of the cancer and I would have thought anything else that occurred. Diathermy is an important part of surgery as it is used to make precise excisions and to stop bleeding.
Do talk with your breast surgeon or breast care nurse about your situation especially if you have concerns about any side effects you may have.
You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Take care,
Caroline
